The smell of fresh cut grass, hot dogs on the grill and parents yelling defense at the top of the lungs can only one thing; youth football is back. Here is a look at some of week one must watch games.
WEEK 1: Games to Watch
West Lancaster Eagles vs Ventura Packers @Lancaster HS 7:15pm (Senior)
This will be a rematch of last year semi-final game in which the Packers defeated the Eagles.
Eagles will be looking to revenge their lost from last year playoff game. This should be a really good opener for both teams who plan to make a title run this season.
Palmdale Falcons vs Santa Clarita Warriors @Palmdale HS 7:15pm (Senior)
Santa Clarita Warriors come in as the defending Champions of the Juniors division. Palmdale Falcons are the defending Champions of the Seniors Division. This should be a good test for both of these team week 1.
West Lancaster Eagles vs Ventura Packers @Lancaster HS 5pm (Junior)
This West Lancaster Eagles team is overloaded with talent. Their biggest obstacle this season will be the expectation.
West Lancaster Eagles Blue vs Ventura Packers @Lancaster HS 2:45pm (Midget)
Half of defending championship team from last year bantam division. This West Lancaster Blue team has a lot to prove. First home game against tough Packers squad will be a good measuring stick for 1st year head coach and his squad.
Highland Bulldogs vs Burbank Vikings @Highland HS 2:45pm (Midget)
Bulldogs are looking to have a breakout season this year with a few skill players to watch out for. Don't sleep on this Bulldogs team.
West Lancaster Eagles White vs Oxnard Panthers @Hueneme HS 2:30pm (Midget)
Half of defending championship team from last year bantam division. This West Lancaster White team has a lot to prove. First game on the road could be a good bench mark for 1st year head coach and his squad.
West Lancaster Eagles vs Ventura Packers @Lancaster HS 8am (Gremlin)
West Lancaster Eagles are the defending champions and are looking to repeat this season.
